local writers reading their own works. The free readings are
held in the Peninsula College Little Theater on selected
Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the academic year.
FOOTHILLS WRITERS SERIES, Fall 2007
Readings are free and open to the public. Unless otherwise
indicated, they take place at noon in the Little Theater on the
main campus in Port Angeles. And, for more than thirty years
now, the Foothills Writers Series has been bringing a fine slate
of writers to the Peninsula to pique your interest and keep you
reading and writing.
It’s Fall—and the light lends both sky and leaves an unearthly
glow. It’s also time for The Foothills Writers Series to welcome
you to a 35th season of fine writing. Readings are at noon on
the days noted below and are free and open to the public. Please
join us.
Readings, free and open to the public, are held at noon
in the Little Theater. To be added to a monthly e-mail
mailing about the college's arts events, please email

Foothills Writers Series presents Tess Gallagher
In conjunction
with Studium Generale, we’re delighted to welcome back the
wonderful poet, essayist, novelist, and playwright Tess
Gallagher, who hails from Port Angeles. Known widely throughout
the world for her writings, she will be reading from her newest
book, which was done in collaboration with Josie Gray. Barnacle
Soup and other stories from the west of Ireland brings to life a
disparate cast of Irish characters and recreates the fabric of
their lives. Published by Blackstaff Press, the book has been
called “a lyrical feast for all those who love hearing and
reading stories.” |
